September 11 is a day our country will never forget. We remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives, the families whose lives changed forever, and the first responders and ordinary Americans who stepped forward in the middle of unimaginable tragedy.
Patriot Day is also a reminder of how Americans came together in the days that followed. Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, honor those we lost, and reflect on the strength and unity our country showed in its darkest hours.
Never forget.
