Following up on my earlier comments about blocking spam calls to mobile phones, one reader says:
“I use Google Fi as my cellphone and they (having way too much info on everything) are able to change the color of spam calls to red. This is great since I don’t have to answer.
Friends have also praised the Hiya app. Its Robocall Radar page lists the top U.S. area codes used by spam callers. Can you guess what city is #1?
My husband has noticed that many of his spam callers use our area code plus the first three digits of his phone number. He has installed Calls Blacklist, to block numbers beginning with those six digits.”
